New Beginnings!

Were ENGAGED!

Since the last blog new things have happened! wow. lots is changing in our world. I'm so excited.. I feel like I've been floating on cloud 9 this year. The Lord is definitely blessing us. I don't take a moment for granted. Devyn is healthy and happier than ever. Her favorite thing these days are playing pretend. Whether it be pirates (because they make pies... Duh. hence PIE-rates), princess, school, house (I always have to be the baby), or any of the other :) it always fun! She loves "homework". I hope that will last throughout her high school years! Sooner than later she will be giving me grief about homework. For now we love working on learning together!

John and I got engaged!!! It's been amazing. He asked me the 13 of February. I didn't expect it at all. I was definitely surprised! We rented a cabin in Estes Park for the weekend (which was GORGEOUS). I had mailed John a LONG list of fun, silly, and serious questions the week before, and he added 3 pages of his own questions to them... so we drank wine and asked each other the questions while I made dinner Friday night after we arrived. Then John told me that he wanted to give me part of my valentines day present early. He got out a book and read me a beautiful poem and then gave me a box of Godiva Chocolate (mmmmm). I was super excited about the chocolate and as I opened them I saw the most gorgeous sparkly ring inside. I threw the box at him in pure shock!!!! The following 20 mins was a total blur! I guess he asked me 3 times with no response. I obviously said YES though :) I love him more than I ever imagined I could! He has changed both Devyn and my world. He is the perfect addition to our family and I cant wait to make it grow! Devyn told us she was ready to be a big sister. I cant wait!!! We are talking about the 7th or 14th of November for the wedding date. But nothing is set just yet. Once we have a set date, you will all be informed!!!! So now comes the hard part... planning!
