Wow!!!! I'm totally out of the Internet loop... it's taken me a very long time to figure out how all this stuff works. I thought it would be a great way to keep all my friends and loved ones in OUR loop of life.
Some basics this year 2009:
-Devyn turned 4 Jan 4th
-Her and I are moved back home last Feb (We aren't sure when were moving out yet, but we all hoping soon.. even though we LOVE our family to death. its just about time)
-I'm still working at The Leaders Group (almost 4 years now)
-I'm dating the most amazing man ever! The Lord has given both Devyn and I someone very special!!! John has flipped my world upside down and right side up!
This year is going to be extremely busy. We have four weddings... Brandon and Jacky's (which I'm the maid of honor for), 2 friends weddings, and my cousin Holly's wedding in Texas!!! Also, there are going to be two births :) Samantha and Josh are having a girl due May 22ND and Rickii and Andrew are having a baby due August 1st!!! I am SOOOOO excited to have little babies around again. We couldn't be more thrilled. I know that Devyn is beside herself wanting a baby brother or sister. She is learning patience! :) As am I! There will be many parties to plan, events to attend, pictures to take and memories to be made!
Life is precious. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people around Devyn and I. The Lord has given us so much and we don't take them forgranted.
The Lord woke me up two years ago at 2 in the morning and gave me this verse while I sat on the kitchen floor reading the bible underneath my stove light. I know this is totally random, however I thought it would be good to add to my first blog seeing as it is something I cherish and also have tattooed on my wrist. I live by this verse:
Matthew 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
26 Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
27 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
After Grandma and Aunt Darcy's sudden deaths, life has definitely changed for all of us. After 4 years, I finally feel like life is turning around for everyone in the Kent family. New families have been built, babies are being born, relationships are being mended slowly, hearts are being patched, new memories and traditions are being formed and we are growing stronger together once again. They say you have to go through the hardest of times to truly understand what you have in your life and to appreciate all the little things. We are getting there!
I love you all and am so thankful to have you in my life!
I am going to try to keep this updated and use it as an outlet (almost like a diary minus that juicy details... awe sorry) :)
MUAH!
